The short version. We collect what we need to make you an offer on your house and to reach you about it. We do not sell your information, and we never share your phone number with anyone for marketing. You can tell us to stop contacting you at any time and we will.
The detail is below, in plain language. If anything here is unclear, call and ask.
1. Who we are
Creative Home Buying Experts is a family-owned real estate buyer in Kansas City, operating in Missouri and Kansas. We buy houses directly from owners. We are a buyer, not a licensed real estate brokerage, and we do not represent you in the sale of your home.
2. What we collect
Only what we need to make you an offer and to reach you:
- Your name, so we know who we are talking to.
- Your phone number and email address, so we can reach you about your property.
- The property address, which is what an offer is actually based on.
- What is going on with the house, in whatever detail you choose to share.
- Basic technical information such as the pages you viewed and the general device or browser you used, collected automatically.
We also look at publicly available information about the property, such as county records and comparable sales. That information is public and exists whether or not you ever contact us.
If you call us or we call you, the call may be recorded for quality and training purposes. If you would rather not be recorded, say so at the start of the call.
We do not ask for and do not want your Social Security number, your bank details, or your card numbers. Nobody from this company will ever ask you for those over the phone or by email.
3. How we use it
- To research your property and prepare an offer.
- To contact you about that offer, by phone, text or email.
- To follow up later if we do not reach you, or if you asked us to check back.
- To meet our record-keeping and legal obligations on transactions we complete.
We do not use your information to build a profile for advertising, and we do not run ads targeted at you based on what you told us about your house.
4. Calls and text messages
When you give us your phone number and check the consent box, you agree that we may call and text you about your property, including with automated technology. Consent is not a condition of any purchase or of any offer we make you. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
To stop texts, reply STOP to any message. For help, reply HELP. You can also simply tell us on the phone, or email us, and we will take you off our list. We would rather hear that than keep calling somebody who is done talking to us.
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the business, such as our customer relationship software, our phone and texting provider, and the title company on a transaction we are actually closing. Those providers are only permitted to use your information to perform that work for us. We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect our rights, property or safety.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors who support services such as customer service is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
⭐ Plainly: your phone number does not get sold, rented, traded, or passed to another investor. If you ever get a call from somebody else claiming they got your information from us, that did not happen, and we want to know about it.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as we may reasonably do business together, and after that for as long as the law requires us to keep records of a transaction. If you ask us to delete your information and we are not legally required to keep it, we will.
7. Your choices
- Stop the texts by replying STOP.
- Stop all contact by telling us, in any way you like. One message is enough.
- See, correct or delete what we hold about you, by emailing the address below.
We will respond within a reasonable time, and we will not make you explain why.
8. Security
We use reasonable measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction. No method of transmitting or storing information is perfectly secure, so we are not going to promise you something nobody can deliver.
9. Children
Our services are meant for adults who own property. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have, we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy, and the new version takes effect when we post it here with a new effective date. If we ever make a change that materially affects how we treat information you already gave us, the version in effect when you gave it is the one that applies to you.
